Today’s Thought - Synergy

Today I went and watched my high school baseball team beat the opposing team and become Section IV champs.

It’s got me thinking a lot about the power of synergy. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts when it comes to committed individuals working together to succeed in any creative means necessary. No two minds ever come together without creating some third mind. With larger groups of people, it becomes a network of minds with the same frame of reference. That’s what happens with teams of people that spend so much time with one another.

Recently, again, I watched a bunch of I’m Scared videos on Youtube dealing with creativity and the judgment of the creations that we are so close to. Yeah, the most important creation is the self. And the idea of sharing my self and my own ideas is risky and rewarding.

We all create ourselves and things that come natural to us because of our unique talents and abilities. Synergy is the path to creating ourselves and great things together, and sharing that experience. That’s why we form communities and networks and teams. Hopefully you belong to multiple communities where you can create individually and collectively for people while also appreciating and receiving the creative ideas of other people and communities.

Individually inspired and creative, collectively making an immense positive influence to change the world for the better. Synergy.

Thank you for all the notes on the post about Corey’s Youtube Story! Youtube is a phenomenal platform for individually and collectively making a difference. Man, I love the Internet.

Today’s Thought - Boredom and Summertime

Ah, Summer.

I must fight your ongoing battle of boredom relentlessly to remain sane.

I tell myself every year that I can’t wait for summer to arrive and I can’t wait to do all this awesome stuff, but by half of it’s length I wonder why I even think that.

Aren’t the things that I am doing right now things that I should always be doing anyway? Reading, writing, listening to music, watching the dogs, catching up on Youtube videos, seeing friends, exploring the interwebs, going for walks, and thinking of crazy ideas for how to make summer worthwhile are just a few.

I have to take time to make time and use it well. Creative time. Create great things when I can and appreciate great things. There is time to relax and time to do things. It always seems like the waxing and waning between those two.

Maybe boredom is healthy. It paves the way for more important things to come along instead of what usually soaks up my time like a sponge. Through boredom I find out what I am really like.

It’s like that old saying about books. What you read when you don’t have to do anything shows a lot about who you are and your interests. Actually, what you do when you have nothing to do shows so much about who you are and what you like.

I just need to give myself a few dozen things to constantly work towards.

Of the 71 of you awesome followers and others, what do you think about boredom? Do you agree with it? Do you hate it?

I’m always curious.

In case you missed it here is the video with an explanation of what this project is all about. I’m excited to see all the support thats come out of this already. I’ll keep this updated as much as possible with any new information.

This is a GREAT idea. It reminds me of Youtube channels that are dedicated to showcasing the passionate work of numerous Youtubers. Because many creators in small communities can team up and do awesome things together, a panel with creators at every level and possibly projects that unite small subscribers would be fantastic. WOOT! GO FOR IT!
